ASPRI2223_MS06-Pix01_SSGASPRI has been an invaluable partner to SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) in the workforce development of the Process, Construction and Maintenance (PCM) sector. The continued impact from the COVID-19 pandemic last year, and recent signs of economic recovery, have created a greater impetus for ASPRI to prepare the PCM workforce to take advantage of the sector’s transformation, particularly towards digitalisation and sustainability in tandem with the emerging global and local trends.

In the past year, ASPRI had done tremendous work to tackle evolving manpower challenges, and support enterprise digitalisation plans and staff skills training. In just the first half of 2022, ASPRI had trained more than 3,000 individuals, and is on track to surpass the numbers trained in 2021, demonstrating its drive and commitment to upskill and uplift the sector. SSG also deeply appreciates ASPRI’s instrumental role in the review of the R1 framework, that contributed to the enhancement of the rigour and robustness of the framework, which would in turn raise the productivity of the sector and improve the employability prospects of the workers. The changes would sustain the momentum for the sector to achieve more.

SSG has enjoyed a longstanding partnership with ASPRI, and share the mutual aim of upskilling the PCM workforce. We are happy to be on this meaningful journey with ASPRI and maintain our strong strategic partnership. Our heartiest congratulations to ASPRI on its 25th anniversary, and to its members’ continued success in the years ahead.
