AaregladtohaveASPRIaspartoftheCyberSecurityAgencyofSingapore(CSA)sSGCyberSafePartnershipProgrammeWehavebeenworkingcloselywithASPRItoconductoutreachtoenterprisestoraisecybersecurityawarenessandadoptionOnbehalfofCSAIwouldliketoextendmyheartfeltcongratulationstoASPRIontheir2023/2024editionoftheDirectoryofSingaporeProcess and ChemicalsIndustriesWithIndustry40wehaveseenindustriesundergoingdigitalisationwheretheyrelyheavilyoncomputerisedcontrolsystemstointroduceautomationandintelligentprocessesthroughinter-connectedsystemsCoupledwithgreateradoptionofInternetofThings(IoT)andIndustrialInternetofThings(IIoT)technologiestheprocessindustryhasachievedhigherefficienciesHowevergreaterdigitalisationhasalsogreatlyexpandedtheattacksurfaceInfacttheSingaporeCyberLandscape2022reportedthatoneofthemostworryingdevelopmentsistheincreaseofmaliciousprogrammetargetingatindustrialsystemsGiventhelandscapeprioritisingcybersecuritytosafeguardanenterpriseandprotectvaluableassetsmustnowbeamongthetopprioritiesonparinimportancewithoperationalefficienciesEnterprisesmustalsoensurethatsuppliershavethenecessarycybersecuritymeasuresinplace;cybersecurityrequiresacollectiveeffortfromeveryoneinvolvedandthelackofsoundmeasuresamongsuppliersmayposeasentrypointsforcybercriminalsandsubjectthesupplychainecosystemtocripplingcyberattacksTohelpenterprisesincludingsuppliersshoreuptheircyberdefencesCSAhasdevelopedtailoredcybersecuritytoolkitsforbusinessownersandITteamsThereisalsotheChiefInformationSecurityOfficersas-a-Service(CISOaaS)grantschemeforCyberEssentialswithupto70%fundingsupportforeligibleSMEswherecybersecurityconsultantsonboardedbyCSAtakeontheroleoftheSMEsCISOTheyprovideSMEswhichdonothavein-housecybersecurityexpertisetodevelopcybersecurityhealthplanstoimplementagoodfoundationincybersecurityTrustandresilienceareparamountfortheprocessindustryinSingaporeandwewouldliketoencourageASPRImemberstotakeadvantageoftheseinitiativestoenhancetheircybersecuritysothatcybersecuritybecomesacompetitiveedgefortheirbusinessCollaborationbetweenindustrystakeholdersgovernmentagenciesandcybersecurityexpertsiscrucialtooandCSAlooksforwardtomanymoreyearsofworkingcloselywithASPRItoraiseawarenessandcyberresilienceintheprocessindustryCyberSecurityAgencyofSingapore(CSA)MESSAGE
